I’m Elwynne Kenney, the Prop Doctor. I hope you

Our business name is
Harbor Propeller Service. It is comprised of several facets, propellers being the
mainstay. My background in metallurgy, design, and fabrication over the past thirty plus
years makes a unique opportunity in our slower times to offer custom, downeast, yacht quality products, for which Maine is recognized.
Background
The business was
begun by our father, George Wilson, who originally devised our method of propeller repair
for Hyde Windlass Co. in Bath, Maine. He then established a small business of propeller
repair when Hyde Windlass discontinued the manufacture and repair of propellers. In 1984, the
"torch" was passed on to us and we changed the name and have continued the same philosophy of quality
service and personal consideration for our customers.
Gradually we have
broadened our services beyond propeller repair and sales to include custom
fabrication in metal. Our CNC plasma cutting services offer the most up to date technology
available. We also offer engineering, design and consulting services.
While serving
commercial and pleasure boating customers, we look forward to continuing a tradition of
making friends through our business.
